Dreamworks Animation.
Dreamworks is an american animation studio which is based in California. The company create animated films, TV programmes and onpline virtual worlds. Thpe compang have released 2 feature films such as Shrek, Madagascar, Kungfu panda and Monsters vs Aliens.  The feature films produced have made $12 billion worldwide. Steven Spielberg is a founder of Dreamworks studios. The logo of the company is a boy fishing from the moon. This connotes the films produced are mainly aimed at younger audience or family material. This is because the boy in the logo could be the same age as the viewers. This is believed to be Hollywood's golden age. As the company became larger and more popular, they producers felt the logo needed an update. At first, the logo was drawn but then it got decided it should be updated on computers to make it more graphical. Clouds and a range of more colours were added in. This gave the logo an illusion of depth. The colours were made more bright in order for it to stand out.

20th Century Fox.
This production film company was founded in 1935 by merger of fix film corporation which was founded in 1915. This company is one of the 6 major film studios. This company has distributed successful films such as Avatar, Ice Age and the Fantastic Four. Popular TV programmes have also been distributed such as Family guy and How I met your mother! Between 1935-1966, the logo was created as a painting on several layers of glass and animated frame by frame. Over the years the logo was then modified several times. Between 1994-2010, the logo had been updated with failed attempts. However this time, computers were used to help make it graphical and detailed. The logo colour is gold. This can suggest the company is expensive and powerful as gold is a strong colour and worth a lot of money. There are also show lights which represent the company as popular and drawing people in as it emphasises the company name by the lights shining around it.

Warner Bros (WB)
Warner bros is an American producer of film, TV and music entertainment. The name of the company is after the 4 founders. Films produced by this company are Harry Potter and Superman returns. The WB logo first appeared in 1948. During the early years the background consisted of painted clouds, later the logo was superimposed. Three different cloud backgrounds have been used. These include two painted versions, and a ‘live action’ version featuring real clouds. The “Presents” lettering below the shield is identical to the lettering of the previous logos used. The logo consists of a shield. The shield is broad and they are represented as strong which could represent the company as strong and broad. 

Universal studios.

Universal studios are another popular company with the film industry. The company was founded in April 1912. This is an American film studio owned by Comcast. This is one of Hollywood's big six film studios. The company did not use an on screen logo until the year 1914. The logo consists of an image of the world. This supports the fact the films made are for people around the world. The logo starts of black then bright yellow lights shine of from the earth. The camera moved across and zooms out with the world spinning whilst the title Universal studios swipe across into the screen. The outline if the logo is gold. This can connote the companies power as they are large and made a lot of money over the years. The earth can also connote the company have plenty of viewers as the world is a big place. The background is dark with silver stars. This makes the actually logo and title stand out. Non diegetic music is added in. The music is dramatic which sound like trumpets are used. These instruments are usually used to announce something whereas for the film it gets the viewer ready for excitement.
