We decided we wanted to use words such as 'Oh my god!' during a voice over of Danni. In Mean Girls they all say things like that. This phrase is a sterotypical thing a teenage girl may use in many cases such as getting excited or something horribly going wrong for them! The word 'Yo' is something many boys may use when talking to their friends which is why sean said it. Also, this makes a person seem 'cool' by using that word.

Shot lists.
From reseraching, there were mid shots of Poppy in Wild Child from the side of her waking up. We included a shot like this because we thought it was a good angle. A birds eye view was used in our film. Wild child uses many of these. They worked well. Tracking is used in Angus thongs and perfect snogging. We wanted to use this shot to make our film more interesting and fun! This shot may show how active young people are. For example, in Angus thongs, there is a tracking shot of Georgia (character) running through the streets. We used this shot during a scene where Danni is walking through the corridor.
Characters and costumes.
These are the costumes for the characters to wear. The female costumes are related to mean girls and wild child. This is because the more popular character wears branded clothing which are nicer looking and brighter than the 'un cool' character. Accessories are used to show the character is glamorous such as an eye mask which can relate to wild child as the main character Poppy, wears eye masks. Hand bags are also an important prop for a teenage girl. You can see third in the film Mean girls. Also, in wild child, Poppy has a handbag full of feminine accessories. Having a bag also represents school. Books and pencil cases can be stored in bags. Another prop used is a phone for the character to wake up to. We used this because it is modern and is what the majority of teenagers use as an alarm. Sean wore a backpack to also represent he may be at school. This is stereotypical in many tern angst films such as LOL and mean girls.

Editing
During our filming, we decided we wanted more shots. We wanted a long shot which was edited into fast pace of groups of people walking through the school doors. This makes the film look general and it can show of our editing skills. We also filmed Danni walking down the corridor on her own. The camera was in front of her showing she is walking towards it. This showed she is on her own at school. We are planning on having a voice over of Danni's thoughts during this scene. Going back to the fast paced long shot, there were a lot of people however it then shows how Danni is isolated around all these students.
We have managed to find music. We are using 'Clear' from www.musicfreeplay.com. This song is upbeat and fits well with the scenes. During voice overs, we have lowered the sound and made the audio higher. We have also found another song. After the title sequence, the music stops and Dannis bumps into the 'new boy' the song then changes into 'Loving everything I find' also found from the same website. This song shows that Danni has instantly been attracted to this boy. This is stereotypical for love or a crush to happen at this age.

Setting
Preliminary Task.
We got put into groups in order to produce this task. We learnt how to film new shots such as a shot reverse shot. I learnt that the camera had to stay on a 180 degree angle. This is so the camera stays in the same position. I also learnt in order to make this scene work, the camera had to be on one side first filming all the conversation of person one. Then the camera changes round into the other position staying on the 180 degree line. Person two will be on camera saying all their lines. During edidting, this is when the filming gets cut in order to make it flow.
Title.
During our planning, one of the last things we needed to do was to come up with a title of our film. We have a few ideas such as 'Sisters and Misters' and 'Sisters, Misters and Peter Lister'. We came up with Sisters and Misters as it is cheesy however the class
were not fond of the idea of the second half of the title. We then though of the second title because the character Peter is a main character throughout the
film however it is not shown much in the opening scene. We wanted our
title to be a rule of 3 so it can sound cheesy and more like what a
teenager would say. However, we do not think the title really suits so
were thinking of a new name.
We shared this idea of our name in the pitch we presented in front of the class. However, the feedback we received was negative about the title. The title we thought off did not appeal to anyone. We then had to sit and re think!
We decided to change the title to Karma. This is because it is a well known phrase which many teenagers use. We also got told we needed something big or an event to happen to make it more interesting. We decided the two sisters parents divorced. This is common with many families. One of the sisters blames the other and is horrible and rude to her. In the end, she loses all her friends which is karma for her being mean to everyone else which is why we come up with the title.
After creating our title, we had to think of fonts and colours. We did not know what type of fonts there were on the programme we were going to use however, we wanted a curly font with stereotypical colours such as pink and purple. When we went on the macs and looked, we found a font called which suited well. The colours were a hot pink fading to a grey. We all instantly liked this because it shows of the colours of the two main female characters! Pink represents Caitlin because she is happy, popular, and full of life. However, Charlotte is represented by grey because she is dull, boring, isolated and un cool.
The headings and titles we used during the opening were a little different to the title. We used a font called Vintage. This was because they looked cartoonist. We kept the font the same but we used a range of colours such as blue, pink, purple and yellow! We got the idea of using a cartoonist font from the opening of Juno. We liked this idea because it can show it is aimed for teenagers. This is because teenage girls tend to write and draw in diaries and this font reminded us of that idea. Cartoons represent young people which is who our film is aimed for.

Story boards

Characters.
We chose Sean to play a popular male character. This is because he has branded clothing to show he could be popular. He is a good actor with a lot of confidence. My self and Danni played the two sisters. This is because we are good friends which could show of the love side of our relationship however it could show off our skills of acting as a different person for the hatred side. We decided to have another boy called Danny to play the 'new kid'. joe was suppose to play this role but decided he did not feel confident enough so he became director instead. This is because he is also confident. we wanted this character be goodlooking to the audience with a charm where the female audience will fall for him just like the main guy chsracter in thr fikm 'The fault in out stars'. This is because this character is a genuine nice guy whereas Seans character is in love with him self which not many people find attractive like the character Chad in the film LOL. We included groups of people in our film to show off mine and Sean's characters which show we are popular which is a stereotypical group in teen angst movies. The groups of people did not speak during the filming as they are not to comfortable with speaking on camera.
During the morning scene in the title sequence, we decided my character should wear an eye mask. This gives an impression my character is more 'glamorous' than the other sister as she wakes up in joggers and a top with no accessories. Branded clothing is worn. In the title sequence it is shown I am wearing a Jack Wills top and Sean is wearing Adidas clothing in the school scene. Bags are worn to show the characters are off to school and are still young. An alarm clock wakes my character up at 6am to show I am getting up and getting ready for something.
We wanted our audience to be for mainly girls around the ages of 14-18. This is because many teenagers will understand the difficulties of a teenage life, especially the diversities between groups around school.

Risk Assessment.
Risk assessment for filming:
Camera can get damaged. This can be caused by multiple things such as:
Not looking where you are walking. This can be resolved by being careful about your surroundings.
The camera or tripod falling over. This can happen by not closing the legs of the tripod whilst walking through doors. Make sure someone helps you whilst walking through the door.
Do not stand on tables, chairs or climb anything. This can cause the camera to break or fall or possibly hurt yourself.
Dropping the camera can also be an issue. To make sure this does not happen, make sure the camera is attached to the tripod properly or the camera being strapped around your neck.
Be careful about your surroundings. Do not go any where dangerous which can cause you harm. This can be resolved by selecting settings which are safe such as a path instead of a busy main road.

Feedback on our pitch
After our pitch, we had feedback. People suggested we needed something big to happen in our film otherwise it will be plain and boring. We came up with the idea that the two sisters parents got divorced. This shows an impact on one of the characters behaviors as they blame her sister for the divorce. This can relate to any other teenagers going through the same thing. We also decided the 'Cool' sister would film in Danni's bedroom as it is bigger to show she is more important.
We wanted a range of shots such as shot reverse shot, high angles and fast cuts to make the title sequence flow.

Presentation.
As a group, we had to present a pitch in front of the class. Joe was in charge of creating the PowerPoint. He was in charge of making sure everything is organised. He helped plan the settings.I was in charge of Mise-en-scene such as creating costumes and ideas for lighting. Danni and myself also looked for possible music choices we could add in to our film. We used a website called freeplaymusic. Danni was in charge of the outline story. Sean helped make story boards and scripts.

After we presented our pitch, we had some feedback. We wanted to have high key lighting to show the happy parts through our film and low key lighting to show the bad patches a teenage goes through such as being bullied or isolated. We thought this would be effective for the audience. However our feedback to this was how we would do this successfully as we do not have the equipment needed. Therefore, we decided to focus on the camera shots and angles more. We also were un sure of the name of our film. We came up with Sisters and Misters as it is cheesy however the class were not fond of the idea of the second half of the title. We decided to change the title to Karma. Our production company logo
This is a logo we created for our production company for our film. This logo conveys a powerful meaning. We had to think of a production company that could represent our film. Our group ended on deciding to go with a simple but effective logo. First of all our name is Future Productions, we used this name because the actors in our film are young and have a life ahead of them, this can insinuate the word future . Beings as our actors are young, this can help them portray their skills but also show 'stereotypical teenagers' are not always bad or slacking in their work. This logo makes our production company unique as not any other support youth. The colour of the word 'future' is blue. The reason for this links into the fact it is the same colour as the sky. I looked at the Universal Studios company logo, and they have a world as their image. This shows their films are aimed at people around the world. I took the idea of the films being made for any one around the world as it can relate with many teenagers. We tried to represent that the sky is the limit for our young actors and that there are a world of possibilities. The colour of the font on the word 'productions' is gold, this is to represent the high standard of quality that our production company offer. Gold represents money and power which is what we hope our company will gain. Lastly the male icon is used to represent the strength that our brand offer, to make us stand out from other production companies.
